Doctors Without Borders recently sent this press release about Novartis (a major pharmaceutical company) legally challenging India on the patents of HIV/AIDS drugs. If they win, hundreds of thousands of HIV/AIDS patients in the developing world (not just limited to India) will no longer have access to affordable medicine to battle the virus.
